Cornelia Schleime (1953 - ): Born in East Berlin, is a visual artist based in Berlin and Brandenburg. Schleime was honored for her lifetime artistic achievements with the Hannah Höch Prize in 2016. She creates landscape-like works, large-scale portraits, and figurative paintings whose frequent subject is the feminine form. The reference here is the protagonist of the book, "The Little Drummer Boy."
