Charles Arnoldi (b. 1946): has been blurring the boundaries between painting and sculpture, abstraction and representation throughout his long and celebrated career. In a boldly graphic and colorful aesthetic, Arnoldi’s work employs a wide range of abstract visual language, from hard-edged geometric compositions to fluid, lyrical linework. He has been widely exhibited in the United States and abroad, notably including the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Today, Arnoldi’s works can be found in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
